Has anyone ever cord bound their own steering wheel?
How did you do it? If so what sort of cord/string did you use? Did you use any glue to hold it on? Did you varnish/ treat or whatever the finished surface?
All experiences welcomed.
thanks
Charles

Yes I have, I went to a boat yard and brought a few yards of cord about 1/8" diameter and started winding. finishing was done by " whipping" the end in under the last few turns, and did not have to use any glue.
I found it very therapeutic!

Hi Charles,
Dave Williams at The Austineers (01225 866142) did one for me - it looks very nice, but I haven't "driven" it yet!
Best regards,
David C.
