Bogus Offers

 

Below is a mail chain forwarded to me buy a seller on the Vintage Knowledge web site. The basics of this particular scam appear to be that the buyer offers to pay with a stolen or forged cheque that they are "owed" by a third party which is in excess of the purchase price. You are then requested to send the excess balance on to their bank in some overseas location.
